Whee, 10%!
Running Steam under WINE was not such a good idea.
As you may or may not know, I am an obsessive UNIX user. But I do not yet have a fast Mac. Right now, I have a REALLY old computer with a REALLY slow processor and all that jazz, and I have it running Ubuntu Linux 10.04 instead of Windows XP, which it was designed for.
Steam is not available for Linux, nor is Portal. But you see, I am using an application called WINE to run Windows applications.
But not at optimal speed.
So, slowly but surely, I am downloading Portal onto a Linux machine.
How pleasant.

Yep, mah brother bought it in the Orange Box, but I don't know his Steam password so I can't install it on other computers, plus it won't work on a Mac when I finally get one.
So I got the free Windows+Mac version for my own account.

I don't get why you didn't just wait to download it
You don't lose it if you bought it for free and didn't install it

a.) I bought it one and a half years ago. I didn't know this offer was coming up.
b.) I'm not losing it right now, even though I am installing it. I just don't know my brother's steam account password. So I made a new one.

It depends how big a size file you can attach to an email. Mines is 10MB.

Well, you can also upload it to mediafire. Also getting attachments from email counts as downloading too. And Steam is like 2MB so Yahoo would be able to send the file
