I just discovered that if you try to add, subtract, multiply, or divide by 1.68 that when you click out of the box it turns to: 1.6800000000002. (or some number of zeroes close to that) has this happened to you?

That's never happened to me - I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I can't help you there.
can you at least test this and prove this isn't only happening to me?

I did test it right before I posted that
Apparently it IS just you

have you changed the coding of scratch to allow for mesh? maybe this affected our results. please let me know!

I have not changed the coding at all. My Scratch is 100% original - no modifications involved. Sorry, but I can't help you here.

thanks for the help! now i believe it may be a side affect of turning on mesh.

I just tried it. It happened to me too, same with 1.89...

yeah, 1.89 turns to 1.8900000000001 (or some number of zeroes close to that amount) for me too.
just to see if my mesh theory is right, have you enabled mesh on your scratch yet or not?

I've heard about things like this. There was an old thread for them a while ago. I bet the Scratch team will fix them in 2.0

Oh, this problem...
How did you find it?
I only found it by reading troubleshooting threads...
....................................
A way around it would be to use a variable with a value of 1.68 or 1.89...

I just tested that, and there's a glitch in the variable, too... the updating string moves to the right
I suppose it's only aesthetic, but if it's in a project that requires the variables to show, that could be a problem...
