the scratch significantly lags more than any other website I've been on, of course other websites have thousands of users on at one time so they have a like 50 degree room for they're gigantic server, but what does the scratch server have? is a bunch of computer or an actual server itself? I'm just wondering because scratch lags a lot and my internet is really good

Oh you lag too? Then its not just me.
It would be REALLY great if someone fixed this, this site lags like crazy.
Also, it doesn't lag like a site normally would. Instead it freezes the pc for a while. Normally a slow server would cause the page it come up slower.

That could be caused by the loading of the Java Virtual Machine. Do you experience the "freezing" while viewing projects? If you do, that's probably Java. We're considering Java alternatives.

Well it happens even on school computers so its not just my pc. It's weird, even when I view pages without java, like the notifications page it goes slower than most website pages would. I don't know what it could be :S

Yeah, scratch is pretty slow. Maybe it is because of the amount of people on at once or somthing.
