Scratch

Well, hey there!

I’m Wolfie1996, and as you may (or may not  ) know, I am one of the eight candidates for the first ever Community Moderator Election. To find more information about Community Moderators, and what they do, check out this page 

I’ve been Scratch’ing since July 2009, and – well, I’ll explain below 
I’ll start out with what I think are my best traits:

•    I love to help! – I often hang around in New Members, All About Scratch and Troubleshooting, to see if I can help with anything. I also check through a selection of projects, to answer any questions that creators may have been asked 

•    I’m (practically) always in a good mood! – I always try to keep my cool under pressure, so there is next to no chance that I’ll let myself get wound up, whatever happens!

•    I’m mature! – OK, I like a joke as much as the next 13 year-old, but I know when to be serious, and when work has to be done.

•    I know what I’m talking about! – Because I love Scratch, I have experimented with most features, so have a pretty good idea about most things. I also know the site practically inside and out, which helps when people can’t find things!   

So, there’s a little about who I am. Now, on to what I’m going to help with on the forums:

•    COMMERCIAL SPAM! – Absolutely not!  I find it annoying, and it’s one of the first things I check for when I come online. I’d love to help removing any spam!

•    Flamewars, flamebait, and other things that go against the Terms Of Use – I am no stranger to the flames that *sometimes* happen on the Miscellaneous forum – I usually avoid them when they start. I’ll close any that rear their heads as soon as possible – although, I hope that none of the Moderators will have to deal with these anytime soon   

•    Moving, opening, merging and closing topics – Well, just generally helping!   

•    Answering Questions – Questions are my favourite way to learn, so I’m more than happy to help with these!

I think this pretty much sums up who I am, and what I’m about    If you have any questions, feel free to ask – I’ll try to answer them to the best of my ability.

I don’t think I’d be the best moderator candidate – we’re all equally suited to the job in different ways. But it would be nice if you voted for me, and here’s my one promise:

I won’t let you down
