I have an idea. Add something so you can turn into a bigger square for 10 seconds, or until you lose life. Add in survival so you can actually die xD
You could add some little turrets, but you can have max. 5 per level, or something like that. So if someone's near that turret (that's an opponent) the turret shoots them.
Like in CoD, the sentry gun would be the turret xD
You can also add a scrolling level. Like, going through a city filled with evil sqaures! xD

Ok, I'll update some time. I'll just tell you what I'll add since there isn't that much left, anything with a (number%) next to it may not be added (the percent is the chance that I'll feel like it):
1. EMP rocket (50%)
Rocket that creates an EMP explosion (stops enemy robots from shooting)

2. Destructor rocket (75%)
Rocket, big explosion. Slow reload.

3. Chain shot (70%)
Shoot. It kills something. It aims for your mouse again. Repeat 4 more times.

4. Acid drone (95%)
Basically you shoot out a tower that sends out acidic mist that you're immune to.

5. Plasma lance (or should I call it fusion lance?)
A burst of plasma with longer range and longer reload.

Yes, a lot of steel sentinels references.

Levels:
10: You're using a teleporting robot with plasma/fusion lance and acid drone. Kill new enemy which is basically a nerfed lv8 boss.

11: Ya get missiles. Kill everything you've killed before. Using a red robot (missile spamming has never been easier!!!)

12: Chain shot and plasma lance ghost robot. Kill stuff.

13. GIANT SLIME BATTLE (or some other boss if I can't get the graphic). Teleporter with destructor and plasma lance.
