I heard playcrafter from one of my friends in school.I started asking him about stuff on playcrafter . Guess what! It was terrible. You had pay to become a member.
So hears some really helpful advice:Don't Switch to playcrafter and stick with Scratch.

Hey I like playcrafter, its less versatile than scratch but way better for certain types of games. Its free but if you want their premium features, you must pay. An interesting premium feature is that you can export your games to .swf.

You can't really bash playcrafter and praise scratch because both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

A file format that flash game sites accept. So you could submit it to kongregate or something and you'd get money for it.
