Heh, awesome. This should be moved to FAQ's.
This isn't a frequently asked question...
...it is a resource thread for the newbies.

thanks guys, this is mostly for people who don't know how to do this sort of thing, however i did post a link to it under all about scratch too. that way both experienced and new scratchers can see it.

We already have this
http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=20858
It just needs to be updated

I think stickies have to be discussed in the moderator forum first... cheddargirl mentioned it multiple times.

Ooh, there's a moderator forum?
Oh, and on-topic with this thread: I'm not sure my Pathing AI can be considered a tutorial; most newbies wouldn't understand it all (and most non-newbies wouldn't either) - It's also not so much of a tutorial as an example.

The TBG has one, and it makes sense for these to have one too... otherwise how would they discuss things?
But please confirm it if you win.

When I say, "maybe" I mean, "unless there is something I need to do first".

it would be cool if this were stickied

i put it in simply because it may not have been formatted to be a tutorial but it was the best way to do it and people may find it useful.

This is a great start! I''m impressed with all the links you've put together. It looks like you are trying to build an all-encompassing index to tutorials and guides. That's quite a task to try and tackle!
Are you hoping to replace some of the other sticky topics? It would be great if we could reduce the number of stickies by replacing them and, at the same time, provide better organization

right on both points. I'm hoping to build a huge index that has links to whatever new scratchers need. I also saw what you said somewhere else about having too many stickied topics and thought that this would maybe fix the problem.
Btw thanks for changing the name for me!

Wow, that's quite a collection of tutorials and guides!
I've noticed that the list for programming concepts is very long, perhaps up to the point where it's overwhelming and difficult to search for a particular topic. Maybe there's a better way to organize the list - maybe you could make subsections for programming tutorials and guides such as "movement and scrolling", "AI", "platformer".

that's a good idea, and from there i'll alphabetize them

it's kind of redundant isn't it?
