All the people who asked to moderators didn't become one. And, all the moderators were selected out by the Scratch Team.
Also --> You don't need to be a moderator to make Scratch a "safer, funnier" place. You can do that now!

It's great to hear that you'd like to help make Scratch a better place for everyone. We encourage everyone in the Scratch community to help monitor the site. There are lots of ways that each person can help.
You can help others in the Scratch community find interesting and creative projects by adding tags, writing comments, answering & asking questions, and creating galleries.
Also, you all can help to make Scratch a friendlier place by flagging inappropriate projects and comments. We rely on the community to help us identify projects and comments that should be reviewed and/or removed.
Finally, you can inspire your peers by creating cool projects and sharing them!
With the help of each of you, we hope to keep Scratch a safe and fun place for everyone!

Hello! I know i haven't exactly posted that much, but i kind of want to become a form modater myself! I helped many people on scratch become better! One of them is shadowstripe! She started after me, i helped teach her, and now she is more advanvced at scratch then me! Also, at the moment i am helping teach punkylou(a new scratch learner, also my dads online chat room friend!) i got her intereasted in scratch. If you thgink i am bragging, i am not trying to!

Just be helpful in the forums a lot and eventually the Scratch Team might ask you to be one. If you ask to be one, there is a slightly less chance of becoming one.

hi scratch team, i'm not a crazy person who clicks on the forums constantly, i make projects and leave comments 2, but i do go on the forums at least 3 times a day. I'm really nice, check my 1107 comments for proof. and i know what i'm doing, please consider me as a moderator, i know you probably get 1000 requests to be 1, but out of those please pick me.

also, i mloive to help other people and always spring at the chance to allow them to help me with somthing, and i'm on scratch like 24/7, i do take a few breaks in the summer for camp, but still, i am devoted to scratch and would love to give back 2 the website that gave so much 2 me,

I received a message yesterday morning asking if i wanted to be a moderator, it didn't say anything about substituting so I hope its permanent, it is a great feeling to help out the site since it gave so much to me now i get to give back
