Too Many Featured!

I have been noticing that there have been very very many featured projects lately. I went on vacation for one night and when I got back there was not the same featured project from the day before on the first page of featured.

Re: Too Many Featured!

With 16,000 projects on the site, and room to feature only 3 projects, I think its good to feature a large number of projects. This way, whenever you come to the site, you know that there are probably three high quality projects that you have not seen before. Also, by choosing more projects, we give more users a chance to have their projects to be featured.

Re: Too Many Featured!

Graham: how long do you think a featured project should stay on the front page?

Re: Too Many Featured!

i personally like the way the featured project works now.  (how does a project become featured?)
slightly off-topic. i was wondering why it often seems that those featured as toploved are also being shown as topviewed at the same time?  there is an oppotunity to show 6 different projects.

Re: Too Many Featured!

To andresmh: I think they should stay on for about three days or more.

Re: Too Many Featured!

I think that there should be a pretty consistent amount of featured time for every project. Maybe one new project gets featured every day or two, giving each project 3 or 6 days exposure?
