making music♫ (in edit mode) doesn't work

I set the music note and instument when I'm making music, but it doesn't work. Why is that, greatly appreciated if you help. Thanks!  smile

Are you sure you're using the "Play Note" block? If you've fiddled around with the files in the Scratch folder it might not work, too... Other than that, I'm afraid I can't help.

The note blocks use the SW-Synth to play the sound. If it's muted, you won't hear anything. Un-muting it is simple, though.

Double-click the speaker icon in the system tray (on the lower-right corner of the screen). You'll see a bunch of sliders. Find the one labeled "SW-Synth", un-check the mute box and turn the volume up to max, and the note blocks will work!


I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
