This block wouldn't do anything. All it would do would be to open up a webpage. That's not very exciting. I want ability to draw content from webpages.

Then restrict it only to projects - no download. And besides, Scratch projects can't contain viruses, so...

One point - when would you use the block? It's completely unnecessary - you would never need to use it in your projects.

@Jonathanpb: You could use it to link to a sequel, for example - I see good uses for it.

I think it's a great idea! We could make some fantastic tutorials with that block...it could help make up for the lack of structure of the Galleries. It would also be great for making really big games or game sequels.

Well, it could be restricted to running projects rather than bringing up any web page. It could also be restricted to a limited number of threads so that it can't overload the computer.

If you just type in the name of a project, then what if two projects had the same name?
If it's a real link, they could still do bad things (e.g. What bhz did, but some people could do worse)

True some can easily do that
People could hack and make that block right now... It would just make it easier. And besides, with hacked blocks, it's not the "official" version of Scratch, and wouldn't be distributed as widespread.
