Hmm... what if someone has something important on their clipboard? I often keep half written forum posts in my clipboard, or images for homework... Perhaps it should make a window come up that says "Copy [] to clipboard block detected. Allow?" or something like that...

Talk about being overprotective. Open notepad, Ctr V.
Your data is now safely backed up!
(And from now on I'm making all my programs wipe clipboard data.)

Overprotective? I don't see how I was being overprotective.
Let's put this into a real life situation. A child beginning to learn Scratch is answering some questions about Scratch that their teacher has set them. Their first task is to find a project, view it, and copy the notes into a Word Document. They copy the notes, but as they're about to paste it into their document, the project loads, and it looks fun, so the child keeps the web browser open. They play the project through, without knowing about the "copy () to clipboard" block, that is in a forever loop in this project. They bring up their Word Document, and, instead of the project notes, the pasted text says "I like CHEEEEZ xD xD xD". The child is confused, so they maximise their web browser, to copy the notes again, without thinking that the seemingly innocent game that they left running is the cause. They try pasting the text again, but the same thing happens.
Do you see how this could confuse new users? A warning would be very helpful.
