I am making a Scratch Magazine called "The Weekly Scratcher". If you'd like to submit an article, post it here.

History of the Mini Racer Series
I designed this engine about a month before I released the first version of Mini Racer. It was simple and not very appealing to the eye. I thought that everyone would not like the basic, simple engine that I designed. A few days before I released the first version of Mini Racer, I had no project ideas, so I decided to try out this project engine. The programming was very simple and basic, and I created it so that it would be easy to add and customize the game later if I wanted to. I mentioned that my experimented engine was an eye sore, so my sprites were drawn very badly. Since the programming was pretty easy on this game I payed more attention to the design and look of the game, causing it to be as attractive as possible, and it worked. A couple days after the first release of Mini Racer I already had quite a few comments, and The-Whiz featured this project in the curator spot on Scratch's Home Page. Even after this project was featured, it gained lots of comments. I decided 100 comments = version 2. I quickly designed 4 new tracks and uploaded them on March 27, 2010. I found a few glitches, and then on April 3, 2010 the final of Mini Racer 2 debuted! Don't forget, 150 or more comments = Mini Racer 3!

I wrote this one a while back, but to get it in your magazine would be nice!

Path: The Story of Coolstuff's Pathing AI
A new, flexible pathfinder is out there. One day, Coolstuff decided to set out and make a pathing AI. So he made one. You can see how flawlessly it goes from point A to point B on Coolstuff's Pathing AI. See it now!

The Scratch Team has now announced the Scratch Community Moderator position. Candidates make a brief statement of their intentions, and then the Scratch Team picks people to be finalist. Who are voted on by the Scratch Community.
The announcement thread for this position was as follows:
Lots of Scratchers have expressed a desire to help out with moderation on the Scratch forums and website. In the past we've chosen Scratchers to fill those roles. That worked really well, but we wanted a way to get more input from the community and involve them in the process of selecting moderators.

We're holding elections next week for 4 more Scratch community moderators. (The current forum mods will stay mods for as long as they like). Questions? Read the page linked above, then ask on this thread.
Meanwhile, in the thread in which you post you short speeches was:
If you wish to nominate yourself to be a Scratch community moderator, and have read all the links and meet all the criteria described on this page:

Then post a brief statement announcing your nomination in this thread. (No other comments please).
The Scratch Team will select a small group of nominees and announce them as candidates this coming Tuesday, May 18. Shortly after, the Scratch community will vote on these candidates.
Questions? Please post them on the following thread:
