This project shows that the bible does agree with science on many things.

but not on most things, that's why the church didn't want galileo teaching about how the earth really was.

The point that one god day can be like one hundred human days is irrelevant; That is a religious statement. Science can't prove that one god day is one hundred human days, because there is absolutely no scientific evidence to support that statement. And, there is no scientific evidence to even suggest any god's (or gods') existence.
Basically, one god day being one hundred human days is irrelevant to science, it has no scientific evidence, and the existence of a god has no evidence. That statement doesn't prove are do anything to support the theory (and I emphasize the word THEORY) that "The bible agrees with science."

one day is no different between man and god. because MAN wrote the bible and that's just a cheap easy way out for the church. the fact is it was written by man using man's days and no quotes taken out of context will convince me otherwise.
also about the big bang theory, i personally think it makes sense, but there is no proof that god had anything to do with it, just because it says he used energy doesn't mean he had anything to do with it.
anyway i believe scratch banned religious topics so i think this should be closed.

Also, there are only few circumstances of bible agreeing with science, and almost all of the bible can't be proved by, or is proved wrong by, science.
Examples of the bible being proved wrong or not being proved by science:
-The existence of God, Angels, Heaven, Hell, the Devil, and others. These are basically magic; do you believe in magic?
-The sun revolves around the earth. This is very easily proved wrong by science, and most people believe the earth goes around the sun, but it's still another examples.
-Jesus floated to heaven after he died: like magic.
-Many tales of different people, including David. Some of these things involved things like giants and magic.
-Noah and the Arc. How could the whole world be flooded, except Noah, his family, and two of every species? Also, for every species to carry on and populate the Earth again, they'd have to have kids. If there are one of each * for every species of organisms, they'd end up with the mother, father, and children. Then, for the species to carry on, the children themselves would have to mate. Yes, that's animals mating with their siblings. That can very often end up with mutated babies, and very many miscarriages. This applies with Adam and Eve also.
There are so many things in the bible proved wrong by science, and barely any of "the bible agrees with science." "The bible agrees with science" is almost a false statement.

This was a bad idea to post a religious topic.

Okay, you're probably right that this should be closed.
You're also right that man wrote the bible. Lol, i have somethings for you: On some part of the bible, it says Moses wrote it. The funny thing is: During that part of the text, Moses dies. WOW. So basically, somehow, Moses was still writing after he died, describing a bunch AFTER his DEATH.
I also think the big bang theory makes sense. Although it has no scientific evidence itself, I still believe it COULD have happened. Noticed I said COULD. It's smarter to admit you don't know, as I just did, then to say something IS RIGHT when there is NO EVIDENCE. Everything religion says, in my opinion, is basically just another way of saying "I don't know", and just saying "I don't know" is a more honest way of saying it.

My two cents:
What started the big bang?
If we can exist, why can't an omnipetent god?
If people believe diseases are magic (science into magic), why can't the floating to heaven be done using science?
The Noah question can be thought of as God healing the animals (using the laws of nature, of course.)
Couldn't Moses have written the first part, and someone else could carry on for him?
I heard that time is for man, basically saying that god doesn't have a perception of time.
So there you go. Science can't prove religion wrong.
Science can't prove religion wrong, only because religion uses religion itself to defend itself. That is basically saying some religion is true, because that religion says that religion is true. Of course the bible is going to tell you it's right. That's the point!

This is a very interesting discussion, unfortunately discussions about religion often lead to flame wars. I wish we had the time to moderate this threads because people can learn a lot but we don't so I am going to have to close this thread. Sorry about that.
