hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh________
You should be able to have a block that says Print|_______ | (Print " Your text) because I think it would be COOL!
(the hhhhhhhh is so that I can put the lines above the sentence. otherwise it would be where the word "You" is!)

I completely support! We need this! Notice that all other programming languages have a print function - for example, they always teach the Hello World print program. But suppose you try it on Scratch? it won't work! The only way that "prints" it is with a sprite using the Say blocks, but that's silly - isn't the block the type of basic function that would work neatly from the Stage?

Most programming languages have this - Scratch should have it too!
And it'd be very handy. Currently you have to get a sprite with all the characters (a costume for each), and have the sprite stamp the characters with (hopefully) the right spacing. It's tricky, and normally doesn't look right...

I took the time to download the source code and make a mock-up of this. It involves having multiple "labels," which means that you can type something with the label "x" and then something with the label "y," then delete everything made with label "y" and leave "x" intact. It's handy! Maybe we should have the labels like that with stamping, too
Oh, and the "cursor" is where it writes from. That blinking thing that looks a bit like an "I" is called a cursor.
