Super Mario Galaxy games, walking around a circle planet isn't all.

Well for those who don't have the game, I don't blame ya, but in the game Super Mario Galaxy doesn't plainly have people just going around a few planets, then a boss. With levels of course I just got the game on monday, and practically beat it already, so I plan it help those making Super Mario Galaxy games.

1. I have an idea for a scrolling method so you can actually move around the entire planet. So I'll make a project with that. Edit: I have it at http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Lucario621/206244, and I plan to make a new version thats a bit better, it was just a start.

2. In every galaxy, you go through a few planets, and then at the end there is usually a boss battle. In boss battles, you don't really move that much. I mean don't go all around exploring the place. So I plan to make a demonstration of a boss battle (from the actual game) and you'll have Mario killing koopas to get a green shell, then hit the enemy about 3 times, with after each time, harder to him and stuff. Hopefully then everybody can make some better Galaxy games.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy games, walking around a circle planet isn't all.

You can use my Little Planet project freely (but give credit!) to make the well, little planets, for the game. It's a fairly simple script. It runs smoothly (smoother than scrolling probably) and lets you move the planets anywhere on the screen. You could think of some scrolling method to move them on screen if you want to jump from in between them. I don't know how you'd want to do boss battles, I've never played the orignal game before.

Lols, at the fail of you thinking all Super Mario Galaxy was was walking around a circular planet based on a Scratch game.

And practically beat it?

There are around 240 stars in all. Making the credits play doesn't count. You have to play through as Luigi.

You can use the planet orbit engine I use in this game.  It's not scrolling, but I'm sure you can adapt it.
