Just a quick tip I figured out. If you download a scratch project and it is running slow, and you want it fast, just open Cheat Engine and enable the speed hack, setting it to about 10x. Works great.
Cheat engine is a program used for editing hexadecimal values in games. It is useful for playing games such as Bloons or Swords & Sandles, any flash game. You can make your money in the millions, or make yourself have unlimited health. It can be found at Cheat Engine.org. Once you download it you just click on the picture of a computer in the app and select Scratch.exe. Then go to the button that says Enable Speedhack. Enable it. Drag the slider to anything bigger than 1.0 .... Ya. That might be a bit complicated for the younger people. But It really helps a lot if you have a graphics heavy project or one with tons of scripts.

I believe there something else specifically for this too.

Don't go to the softcows.com link when downloading it though.

what happened with going to scratch's edit menu, clicking "set single stepping", and pressing turbo?
The problem with this is you lose frames, whereas Cheat Engine (seems) to keep all the frames but nonetheless speed up the project.
