I think you should include a block which, instead of saying "stamp" said "stamp onto [selection of sprites and the background]".
This would allow people to make games and animations where you can change the look of a character or item, without having to download and change the costumes.
It would also help if you wanted to take a screenshot on an OS. You just stamp onto "sprite canvass" and you can view them by bringing that sprite to the front.
The same logic would apply to saving your work on art projects.
I hope someone looks at this, as it there are soooo many other ideas people have submitted.
PS: I have another idea which is simpler, why can't we have proper text in the costume editor? I mean like in "Word", where we can change the colour and size of each individual letter.
I also have 1 other idea. Why can't we have a "<[list of sprites] touching [list of sprites]>" block?
I hope none of these demands are too complex, and I hope that they are one day included in a new scratch version.

Exactly. I just came across this problem today, when working on my Mini Racer track builder. I need to be able to stamp on the sprite, so it can scroll properly. This is definately something that needs to be added in the future. Great Idea Repto!

That would basically require twice the sprite memory usage than it does now.
Is it worth it?
Unless you stamp onto the *actual* sprite, which would make it a nightmare making something work with it.
