Re: Cube 2- The sequel

How about acid? It would burn your cube?

And bounce-pads!

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

Maybe you could make this: a solid purple rod that falls down in an arc like this:

                                         -
                                        -
                                       -
                                      -
Oh well, you get the idea. Also, you could make a power-up like thing that looks like a spring which makes you jump REALLY high.

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

All this talk of jumping... Cube doesn't actually jump you know?  Although I am making a level with something that'll make it look like it jumps...

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

Well, my game's not exactly like those ones... mine is a 3d game that uses the actual form of a cube to its advantage by making levels that use 3d.  If you're thinking of making a platformer, I would suggest looking at someone else's projects, because I only have one, and it's rather complex (Zero G).

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

I decided since Cube 2 has been taking so long to post some screen shots:

What do you think?  By the way, Cube 2 now has 10 levels.

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

Come on, nobody thinks anything about these?  Are they too simple, too hard, too vague, unexpected, or what.

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

Ok, so I have 11 levels done with 3 ideas included that weren't in the first.  I want to know if:
A)  You guys want it realesed tommorow or Monday with 12 levels.
B)  You want it realesed at max Friday after next with 15 levels and maybe an ending sequence.
or
C)  You want it realesed within 3 weeks with15 levels, music, ending sequence, and a sneak peek of my next game.
So what'll be?

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

A: As demo.
B: As Cube 2
C: You can put it as Cube 2 Extra Levels or something.

Um, ok, but That's just simplifying what I said.  Do you have a choice? or are you saying to do all 3?

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

I'd like B. I don't want to wait 3 weeks and I don't find music, an ending sequence, and a sneak peek to be quite neccessary. However, I do want more than 12 levels  smile

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

I might need some more level ideas, I'm blanking on what I should do...  I have an idea for the 12th level and I'll do that, but I have no ideas for the other 3.

How about the floor gradually disappearing, so you have to move quickly?  smile

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

Okay, I need an idea for one more level and that's it.  I have 12 levels done, have started on the 13th and know what I'm doing for the last.  It will definitely be done by the end of the week!

Re: Cube 2- The sequel

Maybe kind of like this:
□    □    □    □
   □    □    □
But they move up and down?

Well I'm not so, sorry.  Alright, twelve levels done and ideas for the last 3 are covered!  Shouldn't be to long, Friday at the latest!

5 days at the latest? A world without Cube 2... The horror.
