So annoying -_-* It's like a little Prussia following you around. You try to get help, but ROME doesn't want to help. The only person who will help is Russia...... and he's a little messed up. But so cute *.* Still, you can't stay there forever.

So: It seems that a lot of Scratchers agree that things have been getting out of hand lately, and that the conflicts make Scratch and the forums less fun.

So I'll put the question to you guys: What's the best way to deal with this problem, and to help keep the forums friendly and sane?

It seems like the 'get angry at the angry people!' approach hasn't worked out so well...

Meanwhile, I will say that it's always necessary to be respectful of others on Scratch, so mean comments or posts about anyone are not ok. If a mod has to clean up after after a poster more than once, it's likely they'll get blocked for at least a little while, and longer if they've been warned or blocked before.

I'm not sure how to fix the problem. =P Moderators are always a good idea. and if a "suspicious" topic turns out someone should check it out and if there is flamming and such alert the Scratch Team (though it seems theres alot of their plate already without it.). Then theres always the obvious: STOP THE HATRED. smile

I think all the old arguments that we went through last time still apply - if Misc were closed, the posts would just move over to other parts of our forums. So it probably makes sense to keep it.

Actually, I think if misc was closed, then the people who argue would leave. And the ones who migrate to a different section of the forum and start posting there are warned not to do it.
