We recently added the feature that lets people know when a comment is deleted by displaying this:
"Comment deleted by the administrators or the owner of the project."
We thought this would help people know that there use to be a comment and if someone had answered to that comment, know that they are not talking to themselves.
But it seems that it adds more confusion.
Do you think we should something when a comment is deleted? Or nothing at all better?

Doesn't make much difference either way---there are more important problems to be working on.

I think owners should be able to "suspend" comments, hiding them from display until reviewd by a moderator, but only moderators should be able to delete them.

As an aside, is there a way to report inappropriate comments made in galleries?

I don't care!

I think the worst part of the comment deleted text was that it was added to the end of the comments. This caused it to be added to a different location than the comment it was replacing. This causes even more confusion.

It's say definitley remove it, it looks weird, especially when, for example, you add a comment and you make a spelling mistake, so you rewrite that comment and then repost and delete the other one, it looks like someones put up a comment that you didn't like, ( like criticizing or a suggestion...)
