How do i make my porject run faster if i have many sprites?!!!!!!!!!

Hi my project is really cool, its a drum machine, but the program is so slow that it take a minute or so for the sound to come out of the machine. How do I make the project faster?

you can update your computer, and get any updates for java and etc

It would be hard to make meaningful recommendations without taking a look at the project.  Have you shared it to the website?
