Look Back...

Lets take a moment to think... calmly. If you post, make it short, no rants. Rants usually make you look worse anyway.  tongue

Think about this:

Problem: A picture of a wolf or cat etc. can be difficult to learn from, and Scratch is about learning right?

Solution1: An art tutorial can be considered interactive, and educational
Solution2: A slideshow, rather then 50 different projects is also good
Solution3: Program the picture so that if parts of the picture are clicked, it might describe them or explain how it was made.

This is called interactive art. The art Scratch was meant for.

As displayed in the equation above, still art + programming = interactive art.

Re: Look Back...

The Scratch Team is aware that there are tensions within the community but at this time there are no restrictions on the kinds of projects that are accepted (as long as they are appropriate).  Please do not try and make different segments of the community feel that they are not welcome.

The MIT Media Lab, that created Scratch, is interested in enabling digital creativity in ALL forms - not just programming.  The fact that art with music (and without it) has become so popular is an interesting aspect of the Scratch project that, while unexpected, is certainly welcome.

That is all I needed. Thank you.  smile  Andrés asked me to find ways of combining the two, and it is on this thread that I have tried to list them... no bad intentions whatsoever. Misinterpretation is the main reason their is hate in the world. I guess I will just go back and run the omnicollab, or just stop trying.

It saddens me.

....Goodbye, and Scratch on...  sad

Re: Look Back...

Why do you repeatedly ignore the deletings of the same topic?

I'm aware that the topic has been deleted and reposted at least once.  I suspect that the topic owner was not getting the answers he/she was seeking.

Perhaps we need to try a different approach towards a solution.  The previous versions of this thread had a lot of hostility.  I do thank you for your efforts towards trying to mend this apparent rift in our community - however it seems to have backfired so far.

Re: Look Back...

Fellow artists, just do slideshows at least, and we will be able to quit fighting over projects!  big_smile

Now only using this account to post in Miscellaneous, but when Miss_Webgal becomes a Scratcher I'm ditching this account.

Re: Look Back...

Yes! As I have been trying to say, my recent art project includes a slideshow, as well as an extra added bonus at the end! ^^
