Scratch: so simple even a grad student can use it. :)
I set up a gallery for some of my students. They're in the CTER Ed.M. program at the University of Illinois, and are themselves working K-12 teachers. Very few of them had done any sort of programming before.
They only had a couple of days to spend on this, but all 20 students managed to produce a working project (not all of them are in the gallery yet). These are basic beginner projects, so don't expect too much 
.
They all love Scratch, and they're busy brainstorming ways to use it in their classrooms this fall.

That's great to hear and to see the gallery. I am going to be leading a course for a group of educators in the fall, and I really appreciate hearing about your program and your teachers' responses.
