I did some searching on a few other people's statistics, and concluded that the more you comment, the more comments you get. For every comment Archmage makes, (roughly) he gets four. Weather or not you think if that is a lot, when that adds up, he receives so many comments, that the animation on the graph lagged for 5 whole seconds.

Something tells me you also created "Remix Visualiation"...
...am I right?
I think its awesome! Very good addition.
Would it possible to create a friend visualization as well? That would be amazing. XD
How would that work though? If 5 people friended you, but you didn't friend them, then what?

Maybe dotted one-way arrow lines?

Someone might be super paranoid about people knowing what they do.
Or, they are embarrassed because they are un-popular or something.WHAAAAH I GOT 1 BILLION VIEWS ON MY PROJECT WHAHAHAHA
Or if they think they are too popular.I was thinking more on a bit of an obsession about people wanting certain users being tracked down because they haven't been active in a while.
On deviantART, there have been cases of people becoming a bit too obsessed with certain users not commenting on their art works, so they sometimes go over to the user page to see if the user has been on recently, if he/she was commenting lately, etc. It's possible that something similar could happen with the statistics on Scratch, with users searching up commenting behaviors if they feel a friend might be ignoring them, which can sometimes lead to some undesired arguments going around.
These are some truly valid concerns and things that we are continuously thinking about. Thanks for helping us think through this! We're still at the very early stages and would love to hear more about what you guys think. Let us know if you would really be concerned about other users seeing your stats pages.

Good eye I did work on the Remix Visualizations and I'm glad you like it. A friend visualization is a great idea. I will keep thinking about that one. I'm glad to hear all the ideas being posted here, it's been very helpful!

I think he/she means that they comment on other people's projects a lot...
I was suspiciously active in September '09... I got over 400 comments, and posted over 300...
I've had 10 remixes of my projects in the last month... odd... I haven't noticed any remixes... I'll check in a while.
And my little brother has only ever received one love-it... I was sure that I clicked love-it on more of his projects than that Maybe not.
This is fascinating stuff - thanks for making it

Could we also have the exact date we joined Scratch? I've always wondered... the forum date isn't accurate.

I support this idea... I know that I joined in June or July 2009, but not the exact date - I've tried to calculate it, but it hasn't turned anything up so far...

I was looking at these yesterday... for some reason I am fascinated by graphs. lot of the stats were quite interesting... especially the one sowing the ages, I never knew that so many kids my age used scratch.

Wow - I haven't looked at these since before I got somewhat popular! The statistics are shocking - I was actually really popular in July 2010.
That's really modest!
(That wasn't an insult, it's a joke )

Of course; I was going to add a phrase about "a dip in modesty in mid-September" but I didn't.

I just learned on the stats that there are about 2,000 1-year-old scratchers!
