that artists have to be different from gamers? I am finding topics like this and this (and this has been starting a huge arguement as well) popping up all over the place. I, for one, enjoy doing a variety of projects, games and art. So what if I'm not great at either of them? I think that we should accept that there's not just types of people on Scratch (artists, gamers, animators, etc.), but that we're all part of the Scratch community. Discuss.

Well in my opinion, I don't see art as a "problem" just a part of scratch, but people feel really strong about what they like to see, so unfortunatly art might have to be seperated.
Edit: You might want to add this aswell.

Um... I wouldn't call it "peace" but it wasn't as bad as this.
They are fine. Many people see remixes as "tag yourself doing this" projects but people do remix games to add more features, fix glitches, ect.
Math lovers are simulations. People don't give these much thought but I'm sure one or two people have their eyes on them. Unless there are maths GAMES. People love them anyway.

The fact people think art is lame makes me mad. Art should be valued in its own way. Like I once saw this art in an art museum, and all it was was 2 black dots. Somehow it is valued. It kind of expresses how you feel. Well, I don't make games, mostly just projects and slideshows, so I dunno about the game part.
Anyway, I think those people should knock it off.

I decided not to argue, and I would rather not have the posts around.

Same here, everyone has a different imagination, they program it, and people don't like what they share.
We need to be a collaborative community because if we continue, it will just get worse.

Art is allowed on this site, because there is an "art" tag. That`s my calculations anyways. Please do not start any arguements - thank you and scratch on!
Not to start an argument, but that was meant to be interactive art.
I personally am just annoyed at the bad quality stuff.
