How would the "art" projects get seperated from other projects in the first place? I rarely remember to tag my own projects before upload... I wonder how many people are the same?

And what about projects that are somewhere between the two... say, a game, where the viewer had to complete it to view some artwork?

I don't think that this would work for those two reasons ... I'm sorry, but I'll have to agree with Chrischb...

Also, I think this should be in suggestions 

I like the good art with many colours, layers ect but I fear the the "children's" art will be added to there as well. Might be a problem for some users.

Instead, I think the Scratch Team should make a separate place for art, like they did with the Text-Based Games. How about http://art.mit.edu/? 

Wouldn't it be so cool to have a whole place for art? That'd be great! 

The problem: They're so busy with Scratch already - managing another website would be crazy.

It should be separate from the Scratch website - that's why I avoided the term "scratch.mit.edu".

There should be the art portal and the programming portal. This would probably work. Although I like AddZero's idea better: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=33475&p=1 It would allow you to customize the front page (you wouldn't have to see art) and you could hang out on the game page if you wanted.

I think it would be best if you could choose what types of projects you want to see and which you don't. Then people who don't like art could choose not to see it and people who don't like games could hide games. Though I'm not sure how to accomplish it.
