Because...

My grandpa got the tickets from where he works, and he forgot about the game, and he got in trouble where he works last time he didn't go to the game when the tickets were used, and we have the tickets, and the game starts in half an hour and it takes about 40 minutes to get to the stadium.

Like in cricket or rounders, I guess. One team bats, the other team fields, then they switch. When they switch again, (so that the original batters are batting again) that's an inning.
