Thanks everyone for your ideas and suggestions about Scratch 2.0. We are excited that our proposal has been selected as one of the finalists for the Digital Media and Learning Competition.
We have posted a short video with some of the general ideas about Scratch 2.0. If you have any feedback about those ideas or simply want to show support for the proposal please post a comment on: http://dmlcompetition.net/pligg/story.php?title=241
Your participation will help demonstrate that the community is interested in the future of Scratch.
Thanks and Scratch on!

That's a good video! I like how it shares the community's personal favorites and such. Y'know, Maki-Tak's animations......

I'm sorta surprised about scratch becoming a finalist, and sorta not at the same time.... Here in Australia it doesn't seem as if enough people know about it, but it's a great idea. Best of luck.

I don't know if anyone's noticed this yet, but Scratch actually won! Yessss. This marks the first time I've ever learned something useful from Twitter.

Oh, that's nice! Does this mean they get $190,000? I look forward to the lovely addition in funding which will probably result in a better Scratch 2.0!

Thanks a lot for your support!!
We are one of the winners of the Digital Media and Learning competition. We just came back from the event in Washington, DC where the Chief Technical Officer of the US government congratulated the winners.
Thanks again and stay tunned for Scratch 2.0 in the upcoming years.
