I would like there to be an automated gravity option which could easily be switched on and off in accordance to the user's (creator's- of the game) requirements. I think it would save quite a few complications with creating a simulated gravity in the game. Such as, when a character jumps, they can only jump a selected distance before they fall. I have tried to create this effect myself in one of my games but I ended up giving up because it was too complicated.

Have you seen the "gravity marble" as a pre-made sprite inside of scratch?
In it's scripts is a very simple way to use gravity and friction.
