Scratch

From what I know, it'll be called Scratch 2.0

And that's about it.

Although, through Scratch's Twitter I've also discovered that it will have social media integration to fit in with today's computing society. Here's a quote:

In online forums, children and teens have posted hundreds of creative suggestions for new features and capabilities for future versions of Scratch. Based on these suggestions, we propose to develop a new generation of Scratch, called Scratch 2.0, that will dramatically expand opportunities for young people to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and develop as creative thinkers. We will work closely with Scratch community members, providing them with ongoing opportunities to propose features, test prototypes, and share resources.

New features of Scratch 2.0 will include:

* sharing Scratch projects on mobile phones, tablets, and other new platforms;

* integrating Scratch with social media, so that young people can program projects to dynamically pull content from and push updates to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and other Web 2.0 sites;

* providing infrastructure for groups of young people to collaborate on projects (including group decision-making tools and collaborative annotations);

* enabling young people to program, remix, and share projects more seamlessly, all within a web browser, without any downloading or uploading.

Ha! Ha! (I'm actually laughing right now) You know you'd think me, of being on top of it all the time, being on scratch for almost 2 and a half years, and you know I'm usually the one telling others what they have not caught up on.    I guess I really have no excuse. I did know some things, but I never could find it, so I finally posted it now. Yes, I did feel kind of weird posting a topic about this, but now I'm all caught up (I think...    I hope...) with scratch. You know, I think I like abandon the forums for a couple months, but I'm here. I've got less homework with school ending soon I think its about 30 days for me, so I'm spending more time on the forums. Well thanks for the info!

I think that Scratch should be able for download aswell so we could make projects with no internet connection. If they do not have this feature then I will be keeping 1.4.
