I'm almost done with a 0S1S Notepad, but Scratch keeps freezing up when I try to put even one block in.
Script:
File:

EDIT: The only reason that I posted the script was that Scratch can crash when viewing the project.

Whoa. But what's with the blocks that aren't attached to anything?

No worries, I'll move the topic over to 'Troubleshooting'.

WHOOOAAA, that is one long script.
The best way to fix this is by dividing into different scripts with broadcasts and variable settings and that stuff. I made a really long script once, so my dad taught me how to break it up, so I did, and it worked much better.

I'm trying to make it 0S1S. Also, Scratch freezes up when I break up the script. I'm outta luck.

Hmm...well, I downloaded it and it didn't freeze up Scratch at all.
What is your computer running?

See, the reason for this is because Scratch is a consistently slow program. It happens with me all the time: scripts of about 1/4 that length freeze up my computer when I add to them. Try building your scripts outside of that script, then add them in and play a game while it loads or something. It's just that Scratch is SO SSSSLLLOOOOWWW.

Hmmm... This is weird cuz I've never really had that problem with exceptionally long scripts... is there a shorter way to write it?

Try shortening the script, or splitting it in bits.
I know it is 1S1S, but its the only way to prevent lag i know.

Hm. Then I can't help you. Everyone knows Vista is the worst operating system known to man.
