Technical Questions

Hello.
I have four questions for whoever chooses to respond.
I am making a personal program for my sister, just to let u kno it will NOT be posted.
Question 1:
Is there a way to make a text document with scratch?
Question 2:
If so, how?

Question 3:
Is there a way to get a scratch program to email someone?
Question 4:
If so, how?

Thank you for your time,
Arromus

Re: Technical Questions

You can't make a text document or e-mail someone from Scratch, sorry...  sad

You can use a list to make a sort of text document in Scratch, though...

Re: Technical Questions

It's possible to export a list as a text file. Just right-click on the list and select "export", and choose where to save it.

There's no way to email someone with it, though.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Technical Questions

Python can probably do what you want there.  It's a good all-purpose language.

Re: Technical Questions

Hmm...I don't believe you can do most of those things on Scratch.
