Yeah. It's me. The person who got featured a couple days ago. Whoop-de-doo.
I felt like I was famous for a bit.
It was awesome to see it front paged for the first time, but then people started hating on me, and said my stuff was stupid, unrealistic, and that I need to actually try.
Then I deleted them. More came.
Again.
Again.
And again.
Finally, they stopped, and I realized:
I'm not even close to being famous yet. I don't make projects to be famous, I make them for people to like them. For people to appreciate them.
Post if you've had this feeling, and if you really do post projects that you work really hard on. I'll look.
Thanks for taking your time, and Scratch On!

It's good that you think this way. You may want to spread the word about this.
From my experience, getting frontpaged with something good once, and for the first time, starts an almost neverending chain of frontpaged projects.
*ahem*
And some people do it for the sake of feeling popular.

i agree, this is why i don't stick to methods and instead just make games for the fun of it.

I deleted my method because I realized...
Just make games for fun. Like cocoanut said. I didn't believe it before, but now I just...
understand.

same with PWF, I make games just for fun, just imagine how awesome it is to be able to have that game you always wanted, but was never made
edit:
oh yeah and same with music in my case, I try to make a song I would really like to hear, but no one ever makes it, so I make it myself, though I'm not there yet, but by every song I learn something new

I've always made programs for fun. There was a time where I thought 3D programming was fun, then 2D games, platformers etc. I believe I have run out of genres that I believe are still fun.
I hopped aboard the fame continual loop with my game, LINE. I had a lot of fun programming that to work 1 sprite 1 script.
Nice that more people are realizing that programming is a hobby, not a chore.

For some strange reason, my caramelldanscen Project with gman didn't have ANY hate comments. And it was on top-viewed.

I don't make things to get on the front page, I do them because I like to. But if my art got on the front page, I'd love that.......I worked so hard on some pieces........

You can express your views about scratch
This probably happens to most people who get on the front page. The reason why the do it is because they can't do it themselves. Just say that. It also might take more than 1 awesome project to get famous.

I almost became famous. Except it wasn't for anything good.

Well, the bad comments you got were about a 1:50 ratio to the good comments, so I'd say that's pretty good

I felt famous for a while when I got 52 messages, but then it turned out people were spamming my featured gallery.
