So, I have basically just figured out that we don't stand a chance against BYOB 3 (Scratch4cs), so what more should we do? I mean, as soon as the alpha version comes out I'm getting it, and until then Panther's days are numbered, so what more should we really add?

Counter attack! Pedal to the metal! Lets implement our own version of BYOB!!!

Don't loose your enthusiasm!

Think of all the work we've done and all the people who want to see and use Panther! Eventhough people will use BYOB3 people will still use Panther!

I'll be using both. But im not going to let Panther sink! Come on people!

Ok, NxIII, lets see if your as good as you say you are, try making Panther compatible with Joysticks and Gamepads, we already thought about this and I think Sperry had a go at it.

Yeah, that stinks... We did all this work just to get squashed by BYOB. I still think people will like Panther though. It is a LOT more powerful but harder to use. BYOB is fairly simple but lacks basic things like file I/O and color reporters. As you can see, Panther is more powerful...

More powerful?! Its turned Scratch into a full blown Object-Orintated language!

Re: Panther development thread

They have BYOB, we have CYOB. They build it, we code it!

That reminds me, we might aswell include a tutorial for CYOB... or Squeak.

Re: Panther development thread

yes, a tutorial would be good, yes, people will use Panther, yes, they have one other thing, we have a lot of other things, yes, we keep at it, fix the last glitches, hitch this baby up and let her loose on the world! we've worked hard enough, and if it takes BYOB over a year to come out with a new version, we can best that easily, supplying new features all the time and listening to the community. we've had almosy 2000 comments here and something stupidly big views, PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT PANTHER and want to see it come out! don't give in now. P.S, I'm here all day tomorrow cos my psychology teacher is stuck in america due to the big volcanic ash cloud covering europe at the moment

@mp, I had a double free, physics, then double psychology tomorrow, physics was cancelled too so I'm staying home and doing coursework instead. I'm 17 and doing electronics (robotics), phyisics, German & psychology at higher education.
