Space Wars!

Looky here! I foundz a link!!! --> http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/TheSaint/986175

Note: This game runs much faster offline. Thought you aught to know.

In this exciting game, you are pitted against the enemy in a duel of the century. However, you ran out of lasers long ago. So now, you must trick the enemy into getting too close to the nearby planets of Izora and Spakschip so that there gravitaional pulls draw him in!

Be careful though, as your ship is not immune to gravity either! Luckily, your ship, SS Mother, has a bigger thrust capacity, so you can get closer without getting drawn in.

YOu may see our help pods out there. They are for making sure that you can escape! The purple ones give you some more fuel, so you can go faster, and the red ones have a jamming signal that slows down the other ships, making them more susceptible to the gravity! Just fly close by to one to pick it up.

Use the Arrow keys to move.
Good Luck Cadets!!!
Don't forget to love-it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Physics involved:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First off, we have simple propulsion at an angle. After setting the direction to the real 360 curve, I used trig to determine how much propulsion went into accelerateing X and Y. This made it look like it was getting accelerated in the direction it was pointing while still going in other directions.
The gravational force (or pull) comes from the formula:
( (GM1M2)/(d^2) )
I then had the planets point to each ship, used the same direction trig as with propulsion, and found out my X and Y accelerations.
Then I used simple vector addition to add the two together, and create a realistic space scenario.
Have fun!
