I am making a game, the Professor's Workshop. It is a fun platformer with lots of cool gadgets and features. Should I release a demo in a few days, or just wait and publish the full version?

It's a bit like ssf2. The chap's realeasing tons of demos. but tbh imo I would prefer 1 or 2 BIG demos and then the full game.

How about 10 levels, and call it a game, and then 10 more and make it a seq.. sec... sequal? (Sp?)
I have 7 levels made so far. 3 out of 5 possible features are included.

Id say release a demo with basic features, but have things that sa that to get this feature you must wait for the full version. with the first couple levels in it.
And you spelt Sequal right.

Hmmm... Will it have saving? If so, then you should have the Demo without level saving.

toxic goo
gravity changers
time reversers
robots that can go through goo and use swithches

I actually say demo. Because then, other people can decide if they want a certain feature, and see if something needs to be fixed.

No, if something needs to be bug tested then you release a Beta version, then release the fixed version, Generaly V1.1 or something like that.

I agree. There should be a Beta, to see if it works/ too hard, and then a full version.

no, it would go (If it is going to do this)
Demo
Beta
Full Version.
Of course you could do it like this:
Demo
Alpha -Normaly tested by close friends or picked people, testing before the beta and it being completed.
Beta -can be closed or open, normaly final testing.
Full Version -Released.
