Scratch File Not Opening: 'Could not read project; file may be damaged

I've just opened my in-progress project today and it's come up with this message:
'Could not read project; file may be damaged: (key not found)'
It has been working fine since I started it! I desperately need this project for a SCHOOL project so quick replies would be fab  smile  THANKYOUUUU.

Are you using the same version of scratch at home and at school. That sometimes causes that problem. Also, you might have a damaged scratch.image. Reinstall scratch if so.

I've just tried installing it again, still not working. I've read that you can undo it by editing the binary code or something? If anyone knows how to do this, please help me!
