Scratch Club Proposal 2010 February 22nd
Dear Teacher name:
I would like to propose my idea of making a scratch club in our school. This club will allow any student to enter, but will only accept 10-30 students. In this club, students will learn how to program in Scratch, and will learn some basic and advanced techniques to create a project, or a game. Meetings will be on Monday and Wednesdays’ after school, from 3:05 or 3:40. Some things students will learn are:
• Velocity Movement
• Scrolling
• Basic Scratch GUI and Scratch Paint EditorUI
• Debugging
• Graphic Improving
And for those really advanced people, I will teach them to hack scratch, thus teaching them to make/define new blocks.
They will also make an account on the website and get familiar the forums so they know where to talk about scratch, ask questions, and showcase their projects, etcetera.
Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal.
