Database Connectivity and Scratch

Hello.  I am new to the Scratch language and programming environment, and apologize if this question is answered elsewhere.  Is there anyway to record interactions with Scratch to a database or external file for use later?  Or to just generally connect a Scratch program to a database for content/instructions/sprites/whatever?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Database Connectivity and Scratch

Scratch has no file or database I/O.  All output is to the screen or speakers, input is from keyboard, mouse, or Scratchboard.

The Scratch development system allows you to import pictures and sounds in several formats, but provides relatively little export capability.
