Growing flowers

I am making a game where you try to make a garden. My goal is that you lay down dirt and all that stuff, and the flowers decide where to grow based on variables. My problem is the flower part. I am having trouble with it because the dirt is only a stamp...

WHAT DO I DO???

Re: Growing flowers

I'm rather confused... maybe you could try stamping the flowers over the stamped dirt?

Re: Growing flowers

Is it a sideway view or a view from above?
What is your problem exactly? Finding where to put the flowers? Drawing them? Updating them?

Re: Growing flowers

It is from an "above" view. The problem is updating them. (Plants change) How can I do this with a stamp?

Re: Growing flowers

Oh... Is the problem that you want to change the flowers which requires clearing, but if you clear your dirt will go away?

If so, you could stamp dirt on top of the flowers you want to go away.
