BOP-IT! - A game by Wolfie1996

Hi!

BOP-IT! is a project of mine, based on the game of the same name. The aim of the game is to beat the beat (no pun intended... well, maybe a little...  tongue ) So... enjoy!  big_smile

Re: BOP-IT! - A game by Wolfie1996

Lisa: There's only one game we can play in the car over and over and over again: Bonk it.
Marge: I'm sorry, kids. We lost the batteries for that.
Bart: No problem. A couple just rolled out from behind your seat.
Bonk it Game: Bonk it. Twist it. Smack it. Thwack it. Whack it. Bonk it. Bop it (over and over).
Homer: I can't take it anymore! [Throws the game out of the window and into another car]
Man: I can't take it anymore! [Throws it back into the Simpsons' car]
Homer: D'oh!
Marge: Oh, darn. The batteries are dead.
Bart: Not to worry: it plugs into the cigarette lighter.
Homer: Kids, it's daddy's turn.
Homer: Stomp it! Crush it! Kill it!

Wow, amazing job. Thanks for giving me all the tips on GIMP. But... did you use GUMp to distort all those frames/images in your sig? If so, how? Really curious...

Re: BOP-IT! - A game by Wolfie1996

Yep - I used GIMP for my signature, as well as Scratch Paint and Microsoft Paint (I could have done it all in GIMP, but I was feeling lazy)  big_smile

For the ScratchFrame logo on the left, I screenshot various parts of my tutorials, then cropped them using the selection tool in MS Paint. Then, I imported the screenshots (and Scratch-style letters) into Scratch paint, and laid them out as a background. I  saved the image, and exported it into MS Paint again, to smoothly resize it, with a height of 100 pixels, and a width of something  tongue

Then, I went back to Scratch Paint, and erased everything except the word "ScratchFrame" (I kept the text in the original colour). I then exported this into GIMP. I filled the white space around it with #dededf, then selected the whole thing, and copied it. I opened the "Edit" -> "Paste As" -> "New Brush", and then created a new brush using the wizard that came up.

After that, I imported the SF logo into GIMP, and turned it into a new brush, the same way as before (also filled the white space with #dededf). Then, I opened a new canvas, which was 500x100 pixels. I filled it in #dededf (I nearly always use the code for it, so that it blends with the forum perfectly).

I then selected the SF text brush from the pencil drop-down list. I scaled up the size until it was exactly the same size as the canvas. Then, I set the opacity to 30% or so. I lined it up to the canvas (used my mouse for this, because it’s less sensitive than my tablet). Then, I clicked it.

I then set my brush to the SF logo. I scaled the brush until it was 100 pixels tall. Then, I set the opacity to something higher than before (50-60%, I think...), and positioned it in the left.

For the text, I used the normal text layer, and set the colour to one of the colours in the faded logo. I think that I used the font “Calibri” for all of the text.

Finally, I saved it as a .PNG, and uploaded it via Tinypic. Hope this helps  wink

Also, *bump*  big_smile
