Did you know that when you make a company, you've just made a company in another company? In other words -

It's an organization. And a correction to SonicPops: Your company is a company inside an organization which belongs to a company. MIT is a company.

I dunno, but people who own the college. Because everything has to be owned by a company, but they mostly don't make a big deal of it. It's probably owned by the municipal government of whatever city it's in.

i don't think it is... not everything has to be owned by a company. schools are supported by the government. the government isn't a company. so really, it's not a company inside a company. it's a a company within an organization within a college.
