ln[ (x^2+1) * (x+3)^(-3/2) ]
ln[ x^2*(x+3)^(-3/2) + (x+3)^(-3/2) ]
hmm I can't do any more I barely know the basics of calculus and I don't know what the derivative of ln(x) is...

this is really not a very specific question. which direction is the bullet shot out of from the gun?
now lets just say we have a vector for the initial velocity for the bullet shot from the gun called V and the Y velocity is Vy, which is really the only thing that matters.
If Vy is negative (towards the ground), the shot bullet hits first.
If Vy is positive (away from the ground), the dropped bullet hits first.
If Vy is 0 (bullet is shot perpendicular to the force of gravity), they hit at the same time.

this is easy. because the second law of thermodynamics and the conservation of energy... the perpetual motion machine cannot make something out of nothing (it cannot generate energy without losing energy) and it also cannot run without even losing ordered energy to friction and random fluctuations (second law of thermodynamics).
