file I/O is the term used when Panther wants to interact with something outside. reading, writing and clearing files. It's there to stop someone clearing one of your necessary files etc. and to stop them reading/writing from somewhere they shouldn't. the message warns you that there is a risk when it uses I/O and that checking all the scripting is recommended. if it's your project, or the project of someone you trust, you can select "always allow"

hey, don't mouth off the colour section! you haven't seen what it can do! nXIII colaberated on a project that can scan an image into a string and reconstruct it. a 50*50 image takes about 7 seconds and this has the capability for image sharing over mesh! you could send chat display images etc. It also allows drawing projects to have a colour picker and makes the original Scratch 20,000 colours into a couple of million colours. They are AWESOME!

So, the URL reading is perfect, except it nearly crashed my Panther (and I have a fast computer) when I tried to put it in a list!

Re: Panther development thread

using the clone feature, it MIGHT just be possible to cover an image with sprites on one end, and recontstruct the image at the other end with another load of sprites, effectively providing a (ouch it would be slow) real time projection of the image beneath!

oh dear... can that be fixed? maybe have a seperate block: (line (n) of url page[s]) so that only one line is loaded. that would stop large texts killing the PC.
