Banning Players

Some players are being very mean so i think there should be a "banning players" abilty. maybe if someone "bans" someone, the modeters/people who work for scratch shall look at whatever the reason the person was being ( the player "reporting" should tell what the person they "banned" did wrong) I am not trying to be offensive to some players, but some ppl have been being very mean, i have told them to stop, but they don't!

Re: Banning Players

Ah, the trouble is, if somebody doesn't like another person's games, they may ban them for no reason. That's why only Admins can do that.

Also, you can report people's projects by pressing 'flag this project' and you can also report peoples comments. Additionally, if you find an offensive user, simply contact Scratch with the link at the very bottom of this page

Please feel free to flag or ignore any users who are offending you.  If you flag a user, the Scratch team will be notified to review possibly take action.  You can add any user to your ignore list (on your "my stuff" page) and then any comments they write you will not see.  If you have any further problems, you can click the "contact us" link to alert us to any issues.

Clarification: You can flag a users *project*.

You can only flag their projects but if you find them offensive you can contact the Scratch team about it.

Re: Banning Players

Flagging projects is a good idea, but you should be able to flag it without having to look at it. For example, if a project has a crude name, and you do not want to risk seeing something bad, you should be able to flag it from the outside of the project.

Exactly! I'd love that! Just this morning I was on the 'newest project' channel thinghy and saw a project about s**. I wanted to flag it without looking at it. Lucky for me, I was able to turn the volume down and scroll down as to not risk seeing it.

Re: Banning Players

good idea, but what i was trying to say was, we should be able to send rude, interpropete, and mean players into scratch by just having a button that says 'flag user'
