But, that is sometimes what people want. I personally like scratch, and I will move on when I feel like it is right for me. Until now, I will stay on scratch.

I have been practicing with flash about a week before I left, and yes, it's SO much harder. But as I said before, I can achieve greater and better with flash.

Yes, but I think you will soon realize Scratch is just easier and more fun to program with. For me, flash is not endless enough to be that hard; you are still limited to the box of your flash player. Creating windows applications is also fun and probably less hard then flash.
But hopefully, you learned a lot with Scratch and learn a lot of new things with Flash - Have fun

Flash isn't complex, I can make a game on it as fast as I can with scratch.
It's just for some reason scratch is a lot more fun to program with.

This is NOT a publicity stunt, neither is it a huge pointless message about how scratch is stupid. I just made this so I could warn people that my services on the request forum and on the TBG forum will not be available anymore.
So sorry guys:

I would be grateful if a forum moderator could close some of my threads, thanks![]()

I don't want any messages like 'no one cares' or stuff like that, because to be honest, I don't want anyone to care about my absence. This is just a note that my services are now unavailable.

Thanks to Scratch, for giving me the great start to basic programming that I needed, and giving me the huge amount of inspiration to create interactive projects and animations.
Again, I am not quitting because 'I hate scratch', or that 'scratch is stupid', I just don't have the time to be active on scratch anymore.
Goodbye, have fun scratching![]()
I took over the TBG President thing.

Actually, only a tiny bit harder.
But the use of a text language is enough to make many scratchers crack.

Yes. Yes it is. (this took 3 days: http://www.kongregate.com/games/katana099/invasion !...)
(the text language thing)
It's not a tiny bit harder, more like just harder. But it's worth it. TEXT DISPLAYS
!!!!!!!! Scratch doesn't have instances, so it could be confusing... And there are a lot of things you can't do on scratch.

This is true, if you refuse to learn how to use action script at all then it is that hard. It takes at most a month to start making scratch like projects with flash. Anyone and their mother can use scratch to make simple games and you can more or less "master" it in weeks.
If you are going to be successful with flash you have to use a different mindset aside from the scratch one. The scratch mindset is "I will make a super cool project without any real experience and take code from examples.". The required mindset for something like flash is "I will start from the bottom and work my way up learning and understanding things before moving on. Then I am ready to make a super cool project.".
As for how hard it is to create things when you get used to AS, its slightly harder to make simple things with AS but much easier to make professional level stuff with AS.

Nah, that was what my brothers expected and probably what a lot of kids expect. I was trying to refer to people who have no other experience. Since scratch wasn't your first experience what I said wouldn't apply to you.
Take some forum posts by newbies, a lot of them sound like this "how can I make supermario/pokemon/smashbros/whatever?" They should be asking "what do I need to learn in order to make whatever".

That reminds me... I've started coding in AS3. I'm finding it hard because:
1) My mindset is on Scratch.
2) I only know a couple of actions in AS, there are so many.
But using NGBBS and some tutorials, I've made decent progress.
