I'm sure that plenty of times, you people have seen advertising your projects on other people's projects... Seriously, doesn't that get annoying? There is a perfectly good spot on the forums to advertise your projects, but advertising your projects on other people's projects is what I consider rude. Don't you guys agree?????

I have had people advertise on my projects. Everyone is trying to get eyeballs on their projects. I usually check the project out, and if I don't like it, I just delete the comment.

Lol I don't think that should be a problem. Just view their projects and comment them so they'll be happy. Don't be a hater

I do the same thing with my adds. I really don't appreciate when people pollute my comments page trying to promote their projects.

Yeah, that's just annoying, if you want to have projects, add them to galleries (NOT Add Them All galleries, and NOT one that DOESN'T fit the project's description.)

Agreed. The first time i happened, I just gave a warning but let it up there. If there is atually a comment up there with the link to there project I just leave it up.
Yay! Post 100!

I had to delete 25 comments from the same user whose entire content was "Come look at my chatroom (link)".
Maybe the scratch team should remove hotlinking from comments.

I don't mind when I get polite invites along with a thoughtful comment.
Spam bugs me, but I leave most because there is not another quick method to ask for views NOW, that everyone sees. I understand- especially when I was a new user.
I believe spam is a problem because the polite methods for getting views are more difficult and less effective then copy and pasting into front page projects.
Current polite methods for getting exposure/feedback:
- The automatic listing to the 'newest projects' top 3 on the front page is simple and good for getting immediate views, but everything is there, allong with projects that took seconds to make- simple tests... and your project might be there for minutes or a second.
- The 'show and tell' forum is good, but is not as accessible or as friendly to new users.
- Galleries and Featured Projects are good, but are not necessarily new projects by users that would like feedback now.
Perhaps combine these methods:
Give users the ability to flag a project for feedback.
Their project is put on the "reqesting feedback" gallery. (I dont think this should replace the galleries, and featured galleries and projects.) Also, they are taken to this page... So the people looking for feedback NOW, are put together.
(I put something similar to this on the suggestions forum with more details.)
