I think Scratch is harmful, though, to health, as it can cause severe addiction and transform innocent children to geeks and nerds (I am safe, I am no longer a child and already a long time geek/nerd!).

Scratch is safe... but try and download it from the Scratch website - getting it from another place isn't such a good idea, unless you know the site well.
