In order to open Scratch I need to open an image file. I find the image from the download and then it will work but I'm thinking this is not the way it is suppose to work. Any suggestions of what I need to do to fix this problem?

Yes "scratch.image" is included and that is what I have to go to for it to open.

Hi TechMaster,
since you're referring to the Start Menu I'm suspecting you're using the Windows version of Scratch. The way you describe your problem sounds like a Windows file dialog opens whenever you click on Scratch in the Start menu, prompting you to select an image file.
Is that what's happening?
A possible cause for this is either an incomplete or manually modified installation, or multiple *.image files in the Scratch folder. Therefore I'd suggest that you
1. save all you Scratch projects to another folder on your hard drive
2. (not so important:) Uninstall Scratch
3. Very Important: Manually delete the Scratch directory from your hard drive
4. Reinstall Scratch using the Windows installer (not the files only version)
Please let me know if that takes care of your problem.

Or, another thing that might help: have you installed jens' Chirp? When there is a second image file (chirp.image, not chirp.remix) Just make sure you have the Scratch one. I think that is the reason why Jens renamed the .image to .remix...
